A vital stepping stone toward an African Network of Inhabitants Organizations

Following the success of the Inhabitants Session  in Africities VII, the IAI was mandated to carry out the survey of social movements. This is a vital stepping stone toward an African Network of Inhabitants Organizations, an idea whose time has come.

The Inhabitants Session in Africities VII, is a platform to support independent voices and construct an alliance with progressive authorities and institutions, not only for local claims, but also for the implementation of appropriate policies for the right to the city and urbanised villages, alternative to those based on neoliberalism

We are constructing a database of all groups in Africa to develop better linkages between us so that we can exchange experiences and learn from each other.

This is a vital stepping stone toward an African Network of Inhabitants Organizations, an idea whose time has come.

The IAI is carrying out  a survey of social movements to strengthen the convergence process developed during World Assembly of Inhabitants in Dakar in 2011 and Tunis in 2013 and 2015, and Africities VI (Dakar) and VII (Johannesburg).

Thank you for participating in our survey. It should not take you more than ten minutes to complete it. All informations received will be treated confidentially and without any obligation whatsoever for the organization.

>>> Please click here and fill the survey by May 27 2016
