Egypt, No consolation or apology

Tahrir Square and other Squares in Egypt witnessed bloody incidents that exposed the youth of Egypt to oppression, murder and intentional injury The undersigned hold the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to its full political and criminal responsibility for the dead and wounded as well as to its circumvention of the fair demands of the masses.

Tahrir Square and other Squares in Egypt witnessed bloody incidents that exposed the youth of Egypt to oppression, murder and intentional injury by various types of non-traditional and conventional weapons, ranging from beatings and rubber bullets, to the use of chemical gas, some kinds of which are forbidden on the international level and are making catastrophic and irreversible bodily harm. We also confirm this scene as a categorical failure of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces and the caretaker government in the management of affairs of the country at this critical stage, and deliberate thwarting of the legitimate demands of the masses of the Egyptian people, expressed by the revolution of January 25, which took many casualties from the Egyptian people. The rebels are still paying a price due to this inaction and mismanagement until the current moment.

Events underscore that the path chosen by leaders in the management of affairs of the country is a systematic deviation from the clear path of the revolution and its goals. It runs contrary to the legitimacy of the revolution, and consolidates the old system in all its forms, and is also a betrayal of the slogans of the Revolution (freedom, change, social justice). During this time, Egypt witnessed a deterioration in economic, social, political, and security conditions and seems determined to continue to run via policies prior to the revolution, by the same men of the former regime who have corrupted the political life and betrayed the Egyptian people. The Council of the Armed Forces and the government are committed against the Egyptian people and the revolution through many of the deviations in dealing with a lot of issues, ranging from events of Atfih and Imbaba and through to the Ballon Theatre and Maspero. Also noted are the forced dispersal of sit-ins on 9 March and 9 April and the end of the massacre that began on Nov. 19, that have caused tens of thousands of dead and injured, and still continues its repression and killings.

The undersigned hold the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to its full political and criminal responsibility for the dead and wounded as well as to its circumvention of the fair demands of the masses. They declare the following demands:

1 - the immediate cessation of the massacre committed by the regime against the rebels in Tahrir and other squares and the need to arrest those responsible, whatever their positions, and bring them to immediate trial.
2 - to hand over power to a civilian presidential council
3 - the speed of formation of a government of national salvation from the whole political spectrum, and the task of achieving the demands of the revolution and returned to the track and have all the powers.
4 – The Military Council was entrusted with managing the affairs of the country, but not to intervene in the work of this government, in turn, and only to defend the borders of the homeland and its safety from any external aggression.
5 - Prepare a schedule for achieving the goals of the revolution and the drafting of a new constitution through a constituent assembly and the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections by the Government of National Salvation
6 - To achieve the fundamental principle of the revolution of the masses: social justice.
7 - The immediate release of all political prisoners and the abolition of sentences passed by military courts against civilians and to stop referring civilians to military courts.
